" I am truly blessed to live in a beautiful game reserve in South Africa, with breathtaking sunsets and wild animals at my doorstep  - Nature is our greatest healer !

WHO  I  AM 
 
I am a NBHWC Certified Holistic Health and Lifestyle Coach,
activist for Life improvement,  and Philanthropic Idealist at heart !

I also hold Diplomas in Advanced Life Coaching, Advanced Counselling, Holistic healing, 
and Complementary Health care.  

More importantly though,  I have been on my own wellness journey since 1997, 
and through many tough challenges, a divorce, and some hard life lessons, have learned that
'when life hands you a whole bunch of lemons, you have to learn how to make lemonade'   -  FAST   ! 
and so cultivating the right mind-set, lifestyle and diet,  are vital components for being able to overcome adversity in a healthy and positive way.


WHY  I  DO  WHAT  I  DO
 
I became a Holistic Health and Lifestyle Coach because I wanted to find the cause to my feeling unwell and unhappy.  I started studying many philosophies of health and wellness, which included both Eastern and Western principles of healthcare, ranging from coaching skills and the psychological analysis of human behaviour,  to holistic care and the mind-body connection. 
I discovered that our health and happiness depends on us being healthy on multiple levels, or Holistically, 
 and starts with how we live our life and the lifestyle we choose;
  but since this is not often taught as mainstream health and wellness,  I want to help people
by teaching them the unparalleled value of this multi-level Wellness system, which we call Holistic Health.

I am now passionate about sharing my knowledge with others, and helping
them enrich their lives through Holistic Self-Care and Personal Development.
My goal is to teach, inspire, and empower people to make better choices every day which are bio-individual, centering around personalised-health and wellness for their body's individual needs, in order to help them achieve better health, improved wellness and an increased sense of life fulfillment

 
WHY  I  CAN  HELP  YOU
 
I have an experienced background in mindfulness coaching, holistic health and wellness, and integrative philosophies, and have been involved in the coaching and mentoring industry since 2003. 
 My working experience includes running my own Wellness sanctuary, Personal Coaching consultations, and hosting Retreats in the areas of Life improvement, Relationship fostering
and Holistic Health & Wellness.

Together with my professional knowledge and personal experience, I am able
to help you create a lifestyle which brings you a more complete experience of personal happiness
and an improved state of health and wellness,
because I have personally been on the same journey.
 

HOW  I  KEEP  HEALTHY  AND  HAPPY

I believe in starting my day with setting my mind for the day, and for me this means spending time in nature
on an early morning walk, or doing some sun-rise Yoga.  This time of the day is so peaceful and refreshing for me, and allows me to clear my mind, let go of any negativity from yesterday,
and focus on what I am grateful for today.

I am in the habit of practicing daily Mindful-Self-awareness techniques, which allows me to understand the cause of my thoughts, so I am able to 'course-correct' where I need to. 
  I love doing Yoga for its fantastic medicinal effects and Meditation for its wonderful healing benefits,
as well as connecting me with my spirituality,
and I am always looking for something new to learn. As the saying  goes, "a healthy mind is an inspired mind". 

My diet consists of whole, real foods, eaten as close to their natural form as possible, and to avoid preservatives and additives,  I make my own fresh food as much as I can.  I follow the Personalised-Nutrition approach by the well-known and accredited Dr Peter D’Adamo and his Genotype diet, where he teaches you what foods are nutritionally correct and in sync with your body’s own genes.
I first discovered Dr D'Adamo over 20 years ago with his blood-type diet which literally transformed my health, and I have never looked back.  I then progressed onto his updated teachings in the Genotype diet, which I have been following since 2006, and through him, have learned the value of Personalised Nutrition and the merits of of  'Let food be your medicine'. 
 Through following his advice I can personally confirm that poor quality diet and incorrect food, also known as food intolerances or allergies, cause pain, inflammation, loss of bodily functions and many skin disorders.

Over the years, I’ve learned what my body needs to feel its best. I have learned the signs and symptoms it sends out when it is sick or unhappy, and I know that if I listen to my body it will show me
how to take care of it, so that it can function properly and healthily,
because what I have come to know is that when my body is out of sync, my mind is as well.
 Happy Mind,  Healthy Body - and vice versa, it's as simple as that.

But most importantly, over the years I have learned that having good health comes from enjoying a holistic experience of personal happiness, because we feel nourished and happy on multiple-levels,
and our life has purpose and meaning so we feel fulfilled.

In the end, Fulfillment is our state of ultimate Success - and without it, Life has little meaning.
Without fulfillment, Life can feel like we are in a 'hamster-wheel' existence,
leaving us feeling unhappy, unhealthy and unwell.
